STV completed Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) engineering and 23-miles of fiber optic backbone design along the I-80 corridor in Pennsylvania for the deployment of ITS devices in PennDOT District 2-0, with fiber terminating at the District 2-0 Office in Clearfield, PA.  

As part of this effort, STV’s design included device fiber connections for closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras, upgraded full-color Dynamic Message Signs (DMS), new arterial DMS, and existing highway advisory radio flashing beacon sign locations. These additions will serve as effective and secure communications in mobility strategies for roadway surveillance, traveler information, and incident management.
