Rob TroupDOUGLASSVILLE, PA -- STV, a professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today announced that Rob Troup has joined the organization as a senior vice president and senior program manager. Troup is a rail and transit veteran with over 40 years of industry experience, including serving in leadership roles for some of the largest rail infrastructure programs in the United States.

In this role, Troup will serve as an advisor and program manager for several complex infrastructure programs.

For more than 40 years, Troup has worked with and for numerous transit agencies to support operations and construction, as well as the management of complex infrastructure expansion and capital rehabilitation projects. Most recently, as Program Executive for the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority Construction & Development and President of Grand Central Madison Operating Company (formerly East Side Access) connecting Long Island Rail Road service to the east side of Manhattan. He was also the owner’s representative as the Deputy General Manager for Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s (WMATA) Silver Line Expansion Phase I and the executive responsible for the completion and overall management of WMATA’s capital program, including the design and delivery of the 7000-series railcars. As Amtrak’s System’s Manager, Troup supported the realignment of track, signals and traction power systems at Secaucus Station in New Jersey.

Troup earned his Associate Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Southern University in Orange Beach, Alabama. He is a certified engineering technician from the UK’s Engineering Council.
