STV Promotes Next Generation of Leadership for National Water Business

DALLAS, TX – STV, a leading professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today promoted three area managers and announced a strategic new hire who will help cultivate future growth in its national water operating business. The new and elevated personnel include:

• Michael Graves, P.E., has been promoted to vice president and area manager for Oklahoma;

• Alex Martinez, P.E., has joined STV as vice president and area manager for North Texas, which includes the Dallas, Fort Worth, Frisco and Longview offices;

• Ted Stawasz, P.E., has been promoted to vice president and area manager for South Texas, coordinating efforts between the San Antonio, Houston and Corpus Christi offices;

• Lindsay Webb, P.E., has been promoted to vice president and area manager for Central Texas, overseeing operations in the Austin and Waco offices.

Graves has been promoted to vice president and area manager, overseeing coordination efforts for existing projects, client relationships and business growth specifically in Oklahoma City and Tulsa. With a career spanning 33 years in environmental and civil engineering, Graves’ experience includes water and wastewater treatment facilities, collection and distribution systems.

Martinez joins STV as vice president and North Texas area manager, where he will lead local project teams and manage client relationships. With over 40 years’ experience with water and municipal clients throughout North Texas, Martinez will oversee emerging markets as STV expands into new territory. He will also spearhead partnerships with key industry and community organizations, while identifying, mentoring and training the next generation of the workforce. 

Stawasz has been promoted to vice president, where he will help grow STV’s water business throughout Texas. With over 30 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump and lift stations, water lines and gravity sewer systems, he will lead a team of design professionals in analyzing and solving water and wastewater challenges for clients.

Webb is responsible for growing the water business in the central Texas region, where she will work closely with clients to keep projects moving forward, remain at the forefront of industry changes and encourage participation in community organizations . With two decades of experience in water and wastewater facility planning, design, rehabilitation, cost analysis, construction and project management, Webb serves as the project manager and mechanical design lead for numerous projects at STV and leads the Austin water practice as group manager, where she has spent 15 years. Webb currently serves as the Secretary of the Municipal Resource Recovery Design Committee at the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT).

STV has extensive experience promoting and implementing integrated management strategies. across the U.S. Most recently, STV’s innovative design for the wastewater treatment plant expansion in Owasso, Oklahoma, earned the Grand Conceptor Award from the American Council of Engineering Companies in Oklahoma (ACEC-OK) – the highest engineering achievement award from the organization. STV successfully helped the city of Owasso to reduce the plants' energy consumption by over 30% and reduce potable water usage by 60%. STV also provided a full suite of design and construction management services for the award-winning Vista Ridge Regional Supply Project (VRRSP), the largest public-private partnership (P3) water project in North America at the time of its completion that grew water capacity in San Antonio by 20 percent. STV’s design of sewer lines for the Little Sugar Creek Tributary in Charlotte, North Carolina, garnered an Honor Award from the North Carolina chapter of ACEC. And helping to improve resilience to water related challenges such as flooding following Hurricane Sandy in New York, STV is currently leading the Coney Island Water Resource Recovery Facilities planning and redesign project for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).
