Texas roads are busier than ever, which means there is an increase in potential for crashes and congestions on the state’s most heavily traveled highways. To better address these issues, the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has developed a statewide Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSMO) plan.

As part of a statewide open-end agreement with the department, STV is supporting Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) planning studies and implementation, including the preparation of TSMO Program Plans, Concept of Operations for TSMO mobility strategies, and ITS and traffic engineering design services including Connected Vehicle (CV) deployment. This program will support all of TxDOT’s districts across the state.
