In preparation for major improvements to the Skinker and Big Bend tunnels along MetroLink’s Blue Line, STV was selected to provide design services for the installation of a new, single crossover. The goal of the project is to create a universal track to the west of Forest Park/DeBaliviere Station and install a new storage track near Richmond Heights Station.  This improvement program will support single tracking through the two tunnels and provide work train storage that will minimize service disruptions during future rehabilitations of the tunnels themselves.

STV’s contract includes the final design of trackwork, retaining walls, drainage, signals, communications equipment, and catenary supports. STV will also perform construction phase services.
