Located on East Biddle Street in historic East Baltimore, the A. Hoen & Co. Lithograph Building complex opened as a lithography firm in 1835. Over the next 150 years, the campus’ factory would produce a number of various products, including baseball cards, and maps for National Geographic magazine before the facility eventually closed in 1981. The site was subsequently abandoned for the next four decades.  STV is now supporting developer Cross Street Partners, to help transform the campus into an ideal workplace setting for a new group of tenants, including several nonprofits focused on revitalizing the surrounding Baltimore communities.

STV’s project scope encompasses site planning, civil engineering, and landscape architecture design.  Design services were provided for a refurbished courtyard that allows employees and other visitors to easily travel among the complex’s historic buildings and warehouses. To overcome challenges associated with site drainage, STV designed an overland flow path.
