STV Welcomes Sylvester Johnson as Water Group Manager in Houston

STV, a professional services firm that plans, designs and manages infrastructure projects across North America, today announced that Sylvester Johnson, P.E., ENV SP, has joined the firm’s Houston office as senior associate and Houston water group manager. In this role, Johnson will lead STV’s Houston team in a variety of water, wastewater and municipal projects while focusing on strengthening relationships with new and existing clients.

“Sylvester brings significant experience in transmission lines and production facilities and his leadership in this area will be invaluable for clients we serve in the growing Texas market,” said Marisa Vergara, water practice senior vice president at STV. “His robust infrastructure design and utility expertise broadens our regional capabilities and complements our existing water and wastewater services.”

Johnson has more than 18 years of experience in a variety of projects ranging from water and wastewater planning, utility relocation and design, as well as general civil design. Prior to joining STV, Johnson worked for a global professional services firm where he specialized in lift station rehabilitations and water/wastewater utility work.

Johnson received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Cleveland State University. He currently serves on the Public Communications and Outreach Committee for the Water Environment Association of Texas (WEAT) and is a member of the American Public Works Association (APWA).
