Racing Historic Ground in Lower Manhattan

STV’s New York office kept an annual tradition going by participating in this 2017’s Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers 5K Run and fundraiser in Lower Manhattan. Our team of 22 employees joined thousands of others to retrace the heroic final steps of New York City firefighter Stephen Siller, who on September 11, 2001, abandoned his truck in Brooklyn and ran to the World Trade Center site before dying when the towers collapsed. The event celebrated its 16th year, and raised money for the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, which supports first responders and wounded veterans of the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. Meghan McDevitt in STV’s Construction Management Division captained the 2017 team.
