STV was contracted by Trumpf to oversee and manage the construction of its new 83,000-square-foot Laser Innovation & Technical Excellence (LITE) building in Farmington, CT. This new facility is used to further develop new lasers, expand the company’s production of laser resonators, and maintain the company’s industry leadership in state-of-the-art laser technology.

This high-tech facility added 83,000 square feet to the existing TRUMPF Inc. campus. The building features a new 55,200-square-foot production hall, a 6,000-square-foot classroom and a 10,000-square-foot cleanroom designed for the manufacturing and testing of CO2 and solid-state laser resonators. The building also houses the company’s laser marking application and sales group and gives the information technologies department a larger area for a state-of-the-art server room.
