As part of Huntersville, NC’s vision to relieve traffic congestion and facilitate downtown redevelopment, the town spearheaded a $16 million Main Street improvement project to provide a much-needed alternative route through the downtown area which will provide additional capacity for motorists and enhanced accommodations for pedestrians and bicyclists. STV is providing resident and construction engineering inspection services to upgrade approximately 1.3 miles of Main Street with curbs and sidewalks on both sides of the street and two new roundabouts.

STV is assisting with administering the construction contract; monitoring and inspecting all roadway construction activities; performing material testing and sampling; and leading coordination efforts with Charlotte Water and Norfolk Southern Railway.
