Terminal B Redevelopment at LaGuardia Airport
LaGuardia Airport (LGA) has changed significantly since it first opened as a commercial airport in 1939. After recently serving a record number of passengers, officials anticipate that number to continue to grow by 2030, requiring a sweeping, $8 billion construction program to transform the airport into a modern, unified facility with improved ground transportation access, additional taxiways and best-in-class passenger amenities.
STV, as part of a joint venture, is serving as construction manager for the new Terminal B, which includes the demolition of outdated structures and the construction of a new replacement terminal, two parking garages, a new service entry substation, elevated roadways, and new and upgraded utilities. An 850,000-square foot, four-story arrivals and departures hall in the new Terminal B opened to the public in June 2020.
