As part of an on-call rail operations contract with the Riverside County Transportation Commission (RCTC), STV provided design services for a new Security Operations Control Center at the Joseph Tavaglione Riverside – Downtown Station. This 3,200-square-foot space houses full-time security staff who are overseeing the operations of the Southern California Regional Rail Authority’s Metrolink system in Riverside County. The building includes a security room with CCTV monitors, a server room, and training facilities. The facility also features layover space for Metrolink crews. 

STV provided architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing design services for this new facility. Working within a constrained area, the firm also provided engineering design for exterior civil work, including a retaining wall and the redesign of an adjacent parking lot section and ADA-compliant walkways.
