New Terminal A at Newark Liberty International Airport will replace the existing Terminal A with a new 1 million-square-foot, 33-gate domestic terminal designed to meet the increasing volume and needs of travelers for years to come.

STV is serving as the Architect/Engineer, working in association with Grimshaw, for the joint venture team of Tutor Perini/Parsons on the $1.41 billion design-build project. Construction on the project began in 2019 and is expected to be completed in 2022.

Once completed, New Terminal A will include expanded amenities, a more efficient check-in process and ample space for passengers to pass through the security screening process quickly and efficiently. The terminal is expected to meet LEED Silver energy and sustainability standards and is designed to provide flexibility for long-term value.
