National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment
The National Laboratory for Agriculture and the Environment (NLAE) is part of the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) Agricultural Research Service family of research sites. Built in 1989, the lab’s mission is to address critical problems in agriculture and watershed management, which will lead to the development of innovative solutions to increase the efficiency of agriculture systems and reduce environmental risk.
In recent years, certain systems have since exceeded their expected service life or have become functionally outdated and are in need of replacement. As such, STV is conducting a pre-renovation hazardous material investigation including asbestos-containing materials, lead-containing paint, and universal waste for a number of renovation and replacement projects at NLAE.
