STV provided planning, design and construction administration services for the rehabilitation and expansion of Lyndhurst Elementary/Middle School in Baltimore, a 90-plus-year-old facility earmarked by the city as part of an ambitious educational renovation program. The program aims to renovate school buildings throughout the city, while simultaneously integrating new, cutting-edge educational design principles and fostering community growth and pride.

A new addition has enlarged the original space to approximately 110,000 feet while integrating dramatic daylight and environmentally friendly design elements. The team designed collaborative learning spaces to promote teamwork and collective learning experiences, adding ample windows and skylights to create a beautiful environment conducive to education. The project also includes efficient HVAC systems, safe wiring, modern security features and other state-of-the-art amenities. The school will house students ranging from pre-kindergarten to the eighth grade.
