After successfully designing Esopus Hall, a new residence hall at State University of New York New Paltz, STV was contracted by the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York to perform design services for a second dormitory at the campus, Lenape Residence Hall. This 238-bed facility helped meet the client's urgent need to increase the number of beds on the campus.

Similar to its design at Esopus Hall, STV's vision for Lenape Hall included the clustering of student rooms and the creation of a "residential" environment. The focal point for each corridor was a community social room and the first floor features a dramatic two-story lounge, providing visitors with extraordinary views of the campus.
