STV provided professional design services for the replacement of power equipment to increase the load capacity and online availability of AstraZeneca’s Fairfax Operations Center Data Center.

STV evaluated electrical equipment and power network options to assist in selecting the electrical and HVAC equipment needed to provide indefinite continued operating capability for the Data Center. This included all computer, communications and required building support systems in the event of a loss of electrical utility power. The design solution included dual utility services, a 1,500kW standby generator and paralleling/transfer switchgear.
