Consolidated Edison of New York, Inc., (Con Edison) is one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the United States. STV is serving as the designer for spill prevent control and countermeasure upgrades at 21 Con Edison substations across Westchester County, NY, the Bronx and Manhattan. Railroad Construction Company, Inc., is leading the design-build team for this project.

The firm’s design services include new below grade moats and upgrades to existing secondary containment systems that would minimize the release of oil to the surrounding soil and environment in the event of a catastrophic failure of oil-containing equipment.
