Boston Landing Station

The Boston Landing Station was designed by STV as part of an approximately $25 million public- private partnership (P3) between NB Development Group and Massachusetts transportation officials. The station provides a vital link to the world headquarters of shoe and athletic apparel company New Balance and the overall Boston Landing development.

Located on a former industrial site in the Allston-Brighton neighborhood, the 15-acre Boston Landing campus is expected to include 2.15 million square feet of office/lab, sports, entertainment, retail, hotel, and residential space when it is completed. Premier practice facilities for the Boston Bruins and Boston Celtics are also part of the development.

STV was instrumental in the planning for the new Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority station and provided technical details needed by the development group and state officials to participate in the Commonwealth's first P3 agreement for a transit facility. The station serves passengers along the MBTA's Framingham/Worcester Line and returns commuter rail service to the surrounding community for the first time in 50 years.
