Quality Manager to Chair Committee

Robert Connors, P.E., quality manager in STV’s Boston office, will be taking on a new role with the American Society for Quality’s (ASQ) Design and Construction Division (DCD) as chair of its Design and Engineering Firm committee. The committee provides DCD members with insights into quality-related issues.

ASQ is a global community of nearly 80,000 quality professionals dedicated to advancing tools, principles, and practices for the workplace and community. An active member for many years, Robert previously served as treasurer of the society’s Boston Section. As committee chairman, Connors will work to establish an industry-wide design and construction quality certification.

To establish future certification, the committee will update and complete the Quality Body of Knowledge (BOK) It will aim to present the new certification’s application and BOK to ASQ’s certification board at the organization’s national conference next spring.
