STV employees participate in the American Heart Association 2019 Wall Street Run & Heart Walk

For the sixth consecutive year, a contingent of STV employees participated in the American Heart Association’s (AHA) 2019 Wall Street Run & Heart Walk. Forty-five employees from four departments  –Buildings & Facilities, Construction Management, Transportation & Infrastructure and Corporate Support  – donned heather gray STV T-shirts and gathered at Brookfield Place in Manhattan’s financial district for the May 16 event.

Fortunately the weather was sunny and pleasant for the competitive run and non-competitive walk. More than 12,000 people attended the event altogether. In addition to the three-mile course, there were free health screenings, nutrition and fitness demonstrations, information and product sampling.

STV’s top fundraisers to date are Buildings &Facilities team captain James Perise with $3,085 and Transportation &Ingrastructure team captain Kamla Persaud with $3,156. Meghan McDevitt was captain for the CM team and Mark Ginocchio helmed the Corporate Support team. STV has raised more than $7,100 to date.

The Wall Street Run & Heart Walk is designed to engage New York City corporations and community in an activity that promotes heart health through physical activity, friendly competition, volunteerism, fundraising and fun. The event brings together more than 150 of the top companies in the city.  The AHA  uses the funds raised to finance cutting-edge scientific research, conduct public and professional education programs and advocate for public health.
