Baltimore Employees Build New Homes in Maryland

Employees in STV’s Baltimore office recently rolled up their sleeves in support of the philanthropic efforts of one of the firm’s long-term clients, the Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT). Michael Good, P.E., PMP, project manager and senior structural engineer, along with Yogita Sawardekar, P.E., structural engineer, and Jing Yang, an engineering specialist, all joined MDOT personnel to help rebuild homes as part of a Habitat for Humanity event in Havre de Grace. MDOT had spearheaded the effort as part of the statewide “Day to Serve 2017” initiative this past fall. As part of this initiative, Maryland state employees received four hours of paid time off to take part in a volunteer activity of their choice during a designated timeframe.
