Neptune Water Treatment Facility

STV's client selected the firm to participate in the engineering and design of a new, state-of-the-art water treatment facility that was constructed in the Wind River Basin. It is one of the largest facilities of its kind in the world; designed to purify up to 1,000,000 gallons of produced water per day (750 gallons per minute).

The produced water is treated through a multi-stage filtration system to remove solids and dissolved hydrocarbons and then softened and de-carbonated in order to increase the life of the reverse osmosis (RO) membranes. The RO membranes purify the water by removing the salts and produce permeate (pure water) and brine (concentrated salt water).
