Lockheed Martin Corporation made a strategic investment in its $10 million Cyber Center of Excellence in Annapolis Junction, MD, reinforcing its commitment to its diverse federal government customers. With the assistance of the STV engineering and architectural design team, two floors of a leased four-story building were transformed into a 56,000-square-foot state-of-the-art secure workspace for 250 cyber professionals.

The facility will maximize LMC’s ability to rapidly create and deploy solutions to support its government customers’ most critical missions. Nearly 90 percent of the facility was designed and constructed to meet secure workspace requirements. A key project component, the Advanced Innovation Center was designed as flexible team meeting space accommodating both secure and non-secure activities to foster collaboration across customers, industry partners and LMC employees.

This highly technical project was designed in just 16 weeks, from concept through “issued for construction,” on time and within LMC’s budget. The project achieved LEED® Gold certification.
