When expanding this 80,000-sf facility, STV took its primary design cue from the older, brick-clad masonry building that is the focal point of the site. The building’s sloped slate roof, prominent steeple and other strong architectural elements provide a strong public face for the entire site. The two-story addition encompasses four housing pods of 64 cells each, including two handicapped-accessible cells per pod, as well as program and support space.
