As the lead designer under the AirRail Transit Consortium, STV provided complete architectural and engineering design and environmental services, as well as construction support services for a new light rail system to link New York City to the John F. Kennedy International Airport. The $1.3 billion project features an innovative elevated track structure, 10 award-winning stations, and a sophisticated operations, maintenance and storage facility. STV developed a cutting-edge, performance-based design approach to meet the stringent design criteria required by the client.
