STV, in joint venture, provided program and construction management services for NJ Transit's Newark Light Rail Broad Street Extension. This one-mile link is an extension of the Newark Light Rail and connects Newark Penn Station with Broad Street Station in Newark. The $207.7 million project included five new stations that serve the downtown business district and major cultural and recreational destinations, including the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Bears & Eagles Riverfront Stadium and The Newark Museum. It also included a new 800-foot double track tunnel that connected to an existing tunnel. The line expands mobility and serves as a catalyst for economic development in downtown Newark.
