The World Cruise Center is the largest passenger facility on the West Coast and the fourth busiest in the nation. The Port of Los Angeles hired STV to design its main entrance gateway and renovate the existing terminal building — all while remaining consistent with the art deco style in which the cruise ship facilities were originally designed. The curvilinear entrance gateway straddles landscaping, sidewalks, two vehicle entrances and two exit lanes, forming a distinctive landmark.
