Architectural DesignA/E Task Order Contract for Facilities Project in Support of the Stryker Brigade Combat Team (Various locations, PA)
When the 56th Brigade Pennsylvania Army National Guard was selected to become a Stryker Brigade Combat Team, its new mission required 32 new training facilities at 21 sites in Pennsylvania. STV provided planning and design services as well as development of design-build bid documents for 12 of the sites, which included eight single-story readiness centers and four field maintenance shops. In addition to architectural services, the firm provided structural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, industrial, electrical and civil design services. STV used Building Information Modeling on three of the facilities, resulting in a significant time savings. The firm is currently providing construction management services for the readiness centers and maintenance shops. STV is also assisting the client in its efforts to earn five Gold ratings under the U.S. Army's Sustainable Project Rating Tool (SPiRiT) and five Silver level LEED certifications for the facilities.
