The Chicago Department of Transportation initiated a project to rehabilitate and widen the Chicago Skyway between 75th and 79th Streets. STV provided engineering design services for this award-winning project, which involved the removal of three rolled beam structures and their replacement with a mechanically supported earth structure. The project required complex staging to maintain traffic flow during construction.
