Lockheed Martin’s Astro Space Division uses its 38,000-sf clean room facility to test and assemble satellites for NASA’s Environmental Orbiting Satellite Program. When the company wished to expand its facilities, it hired STV to provide architectural and engineering design as well as construction administration for this state-of-the-art facility. The 32,000-sf addition contains a Class 100,000 high-bay airlock and a Class 10,000 clean room that houses two 25-ton cranes.
