Architectural DesignLockheed Martin Communications and Power Center (Newtown, PA)
STV provided comprehensive architectural and engineering services for this high-tech complex for Lockheed Martin Corporation’s Astro Space Division. Located on a 52-acre site, the new facility will be used to fabricate, assemble and test satellite payloads and antennas. STV’s design included the construction of a new two-story, 348,000-sf Product Team Building (PTB) and the conversion of a 20-year-old college classroom building for use as administrative office space and dining facilities. A high-bay area adjacent to the PTB consists of a test chamber area for large subassembly integration and environmental testing and a 24,000-sf Class 100,000 clean room equipped with overhead cranes.
