Architectural DesignBartholomew County Jail (Columbus, IN)
Columbus prides itself on being a small city with the greatest concentration of major modern buildings of exemplary design in America. The new Bartholomew County jail is the 60th architectural project to be added to the long list of projects designed by major firms for Columbus. The complex includes two distinct structures—a linear, rectagular building housing the county sheriff's department and a 16-sided irregular polygon containing the 115-bed secure detention facility.
