NYCHA SEEKS SUBCONTRACTORS (MULTIPLE TRADES) FOR MODERNIZATION PROJECT AT WHITMAN INGERSOLL
The New York City Housing Authority is planning an extensive interior and exterior modernization of Whitman and Ingersoll Developments in Brooklyn, New York. Work includes (1) varying renovations of approximately 600 occupied and vacant apartments (2) replacement of 32 elevators (3) replacement of roofs at approximately 35 buildings (4) replacement of interior metal stairs at approximately 61 stairwells and (5) related asbestos/lead abatement. Trade contracts will be bid as Wicks Law. Work will be performed under NYCHA’s CM/Build Program with pre-qualified subcontractors working directly for Construction Management (CM) firm retained by NYCHA.

The New York City Housing Authority is planning extensive repairs to the exterior facades and roofs of a significant portion of the 2,694 buildings that it owns and operates. NYCHA is also planning projects for a variety of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and General Construction capital improvement projects. Assignments may include multi-site projects. All work will be performed under NYCHA’s CM/Build Program with pre-qualified subcontractors working directly for Construction Management (CM) firms retained by NYCHA.
