STV served as the construction manager-as-agent for the New York City Housing Authority on exterior renovations of Glenwood Houses, a development of 20 six-story residential apartment buildings on 22 acres in Brooklyn. The project scope included repair of the building facades to address unsafe conditions and protect the buildings’ exterior envelopes from various weather conditions. Renovations included installation of a sidewalk shed, exterior masonry repairs, asbestos and lead abatement, brick replacement, repointing, parapet replacement, installation of a new bullet-resistant aluminum curtain wall system, installation of new galvanized steel railings with panels on all roofs, and mechanical and electrical work. In addition, new roofs were installed to improve the waterproofing and energy efficiency of the 20 buildings.
