STV has a national reputation for innovative, state-of-the-art justice projects that are responsive to the specific needs of individual facilities. Beginning in the late 1960s with the design of the award-winning Leesburg Prison in New Jersey, which became the prototype for ensuing advanced concepts in correctional architecture, STV has pioneered architecture that is responsive to the objectives of modern judicial and correctional facilities.

We have overseen a broad range of justice and institutional projects from master planning, programming, and interior design, through architectural and engineering design, construction management, and comprehensive program management. Our experience includes the planning and design of a variety of institutional facilities, including minimum-, medium-, close-, and maximum-security prisons; police stations and sheriff’s facilities; juvenile, detention and substance abuse treatment facilities; holding and classification centers; and courts and courthouses.
